Here at Argus tracking, we recognise that we have a responsibility to both our clients and the environment. That is why we supply the very best Fleet Management and GPS Tracking Systems that provide fleet managers with the insight and knowledge needed to reduce their asset's impact on the environment. Our hardware is also sourced and disposed of in the most sustainable and efficient way possible.
Many NZ businesses strive to keep operational costs low - this is great for business, however, this practice often results in masses of ‘otherwise avoidable’ waste yearly.
“Aotearoa New Zealand generates more than 17 million tonnes of waste each year. We send almost 13 million tonnes of that to landfill. This means that almost 76% of the material we use is completely wasted.” - Read the full NZ Government article.
We believe in sustainable practices and the benefits technology can offer to increase efficiency and reduce our environmental impact. That is why we implemented an e-waste recycling scheme back in 2017 to recover and recycle any waste created by our hardware.
Argus Tracking E-Waste Recycling: How Does This Work?
We take responsibility for the hardware we supply by reclaiming it at the end of its life to ensure there is minimal impact on the environment.
Once recovered, electrical waste is put in our dedicated 180L e-waste bin that gets collected once it’s full.
Valuable metals are then carefully removed and all other pieces are recycled as far as possible.
To ensure we minimise waste in other areas of our business, we follow our very own Environmental Policy. This covers the day-to-day running of our own assets, product stewardship, energy, water, travel, and more.
